What Is an Allergy Test?

An allergy test finds immune reactions to particular substances (known as allergens) like pollen, dust, pet dander, mold, or specific foods. When your immune system overreacts and identifies a safe substance as harmful, it leads to allergic reactions such as

 ·         Sneezing, runny nose, or stuffy nose

·         Hives or itchy skin

·         Shortness of breath or wheezing

·         Swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat

We provide IgE-based allergy panels that can identify multiple allergens with a simple blood test—fast, safe, and extremely accurate.

ADD details of 280 allergens and the panel names with the number of allergens in each panel.

Allergy Testing in Details
What is an allergy?

An allergy is an overreaction of the immune system to a substance that is usually harmless, such as dust, pollen, certain foods, or medications. When the body identifies these as threats, it triggers allergic symptoms.

What are the common symptoms of allergies?

Common allergy symptoms include:

  • Sneezing

  • Runny or itchy eyes

  • Skin rashes or hives

  • Breathing difficulty

  • Stomach pain or vomiting (in case of food allergies)

How is an allergy diagnosed?

Allergies can be diagnosed in two main ways:

Skin prick test: Small amounts of allergens are applied to the skin to check for reactions.

Blood test (IgE test): Measures the level of allergy-related antibodies in the blood.

What is the difference between food allergy and food intolerance?
  • Food allergy is an immune system reaction and can be life-threatening.

  • Food intolerance affects the digestive system (e.g., lactose intolerance) and is usually less severe.

Is there a permanent cure for allergies?

There is no permanent cure for allergies, but symptoms can be managed through medication and immunotherapy (allergy shots). Avoiding allergens is the most effective way to prevent reactions.

What Is a Food Intolerance Test?

Unlike allergy, food intolerance does not involve the immune system but interferes with your digestion or processing of some foods. Typical symptoms are:

* Bloating, gas, diarrhea or constipation

* Pain in the stomach after eating

* General tiredness

Our food intolerance test determines problem foods through IgG antibody testing, enabling you to modify your diet to avoid discomfort and enhance your well-being.

Food Intolerance
What is food intolerance?

Food intolerance is the body’s difficulty in digesting certain foods. It is not caused by the immune system like food allergies, and symptoms usually appear gradually after eating the problem food.

What are the common symptoms of food intolerance?

Common symptoms include:

  • Bloating

  • Gas

  • Stomach pain or cramps

  • Diarrhea

  • Nausea

These symptoms often depend on the amount of food consumed

How is food intolerance different from a food allergy?
  • Food allergy involves the immune system and can cause serious, even life-threatening reactions.

  • Food intolerance affects the digestive system and is usually less severe and not life-threatening.

Can food intolerance be cured?

There is no cure, but it can be managed. Avoiding trigger foods and using enzyme supplements (like lactase for lactose intolerance) can help control symptoms effectively.

How is food intolerance diagnosed?

Food intolerance is diagnosed through:

  • Elimination diets (removing suspected foods and reintroducing them)

  • Food diaries

  • In some cases, breath tests (e.g., for lactose intolerance)
